Reporting directly to the Vice President, Information Technology, the Information Technology Intern will work closely with our IT professionals to assist with the daily maintenance and troubleshooting of our computer systems, software applications, and network infrastructure.
This is an in-office, paid, internship position that runs from June 10 – August 2, 2024.
RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of the position)
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software applications, and network infrastructure.
- Perform hardware and software maintenance tasks, including installing software, performing updates, and troubleshooting computer issues.
- Set up and configure computer workstations for new employees, ensuring they have access to the necessary software and hardware resources.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of network equipment, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Collaborate with IT professionals to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Keep accurate records of technical support requests and resolutions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of IT projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently a junior or senior student enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, software applications, and network infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
