The Science of Compelling Body Language

Why do some speakers seem super confident, convincing, compelling, and likable, while others can say the same words with little impact? In this audio-only course, Richard Newman reveals scientific insights on the tiny shifts that make all the difference.

Richard is the founder of Body Talk and author of You Were Born to Speak. As a teenager, he taught English to Tibetan monks using only non-verbal communication. He has also published much-cited research on non-verbal presence. Richard was later diagnosed with autism; he credits his neurodiverse lens for helping him decipher body language piece by piece.

Learn how to find full congruence between your words, tone, and body position. Discover specific shifts in your gestures and voice to improve perceived confidence. Identify the ideal palm position and stance for any message.
