Leverage Micro-Internships

Parker Dewey offers students and recent alumni to take part on short-term, professional, paid micro-internship experiences. These experiences can provide a great way to get paid while acquiring skills and building your resume.

Here is a 7-minute video overview for students about how the Parker Dewey Micro-Internship platform works. The video also highlights tips for student success.

1. Create your personal profile as completely and accurately as possible, especially your education and experience. Students with complete profiles are more likely to be selected. Please note: to see exclusive projects for University students only, you need add the University of Nevada, Reno to your Education section of the profile.
2. Upload a resume and a link to your LinkedIn profile. Samples of your work from classes, internships, part-time jobs, etc. can be helpful.
3. The application process involves completing one or more short-answer questions. These questions typically also serve as the interview (companies may reach out to applicants to request an interview, but this is pretty rare).
4. New opportunities are posted regularly and projects come and go very quickly.

It may take multiple attempts to land a project, please do not get discouraged. Stop by or schedule a virtual appointment with one of our Career Mentors to increase your chances on submitting a high quality application. Micro-Internships can lead to internship and full-time job offers, and is a great way to showcase your professional skills and gain experience to add to your resume.
