Job Description:

Zoo Media, the creative division of the Dakdan family of companies, is seeking a passionate and imaginative Video Editing & Content Creation Intern to join our dynamic digital media team. This internship offers hands‑on experience in modern storytelling while contributing to youth‑centered projects across Zoo‑themed content, creator‑driven series, community engagement initiatives, and entertainment programming. Interns will help bring fresh ideas to life through video editing, short‑form content, and creative production that supports Zoo Media’s mission of elevating emerging talent and delivering authentic, digital‑first media experiences.

Video Editing:

  • Edit and enhance video content for various projects, ensuring high-quality production standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Utilize industry-standard video editing software to create compelling and engaging visual stories.

AI Software Integration:

  • Work closely with the team to incorporate new artificial intelligence software into the video creation and editing process.
  • Explore and implement AI tools to enhance the learning experience through innovative multimedia content.

Creative Conceptualization:

  • Brainstorm and contribute creative ideas for video content that align with the company’s goals and target audience.
  • Assist in the development of storyboards and scripts for video projects.

Learning and Adaptation:

  • Learn and adapt to new AI technologies that can streamline and enhance the video editing workflow.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in AI-driven content creation.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, designers, and marketing professionals, to ensure cohesive and effective multimedia projects.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute actively to discussions.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure the quality, consistency, and accuracy of all video content produced.
  • Incorporate feedback from team members and make necessary revisions to improve the final product.

Documentation:

  • Document the process of integrating AI software into video editing workflows, creating a resource for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in [Film Production, Multimedia, Communication, or a related field].
  • Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Strong creative and storytelling skills.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be available to attend meetings on Mondays at 9:00 AM, Wednesdays at 10:00 AM, and Fridays at 8:00 AM Mountain Standard Time.
  • Current undergraduate majoring in studio arts, marketing/hospitality, business/accounting, art history, communications majors, or any other related field.
  • Knowledge of Zoom for weekly meetings.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Possess multi-tasking and coordination experience.
  • Passion for art while being actively involved in the art community.
  • Demonstrate attention to details while maintaining perspective.
  • Have working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, basic HTML, Microsoft Office Suite

Location: Remote
Internship Duration: 180-day minimum, up to 365 days
Apprenticeship: Available based on performance
