The The Real Public Defender is offering a Senior Attorney Internship.
The Real Public Defender has advocacy goals to make the American Dream available to all and uphold liberty and justice for all. We are looking for a lawyer that will perform excellent consult in the business and finance arena.
This position will be part of supporting the entrepreneurs and businesses with finance and business development expertise.
Areas of study the intern will have proficient training in include the following:
Legal Proficiency and Knowledge
- Drafting and Documentation: Proficiency in drafting contracts, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Case Analysis: Ability to analyze complex legal issues, identify relevant precedents, and develop sound legal arguments.
- Understanding of Procedures: Familiarity with court procedures, filing requirements, and litigation timelines.
Practical Experience
- Client Interaction: Opportunities to observe and participate in client meetings to understand client concerns and case strategies.
- Case Management: Assisting in managing multiple cases, from filing to trial preparation.
- Court Exposure: Experience attending hearings, depositions, or trials to understand courtroom dynamics.

Responsibilities will include the following:
Oversee depositions
Oversee merger and acquisition proposals
Present closing arguments
Guide the overall legal strategy
Provide legal advice throughout the business development, sell, or purchase process,
Coordinate settlements, mediation, or pleadings
Manage appeal proceedings
Conduct extensive research to explore legal precedents.
Commitment to work collaboratively and respectfully toward resolving obstacles and/or conflicts

Experience & Qualifications
This position is open to current individuals that are qualified to take the Uniform Bar Examination or have passed the Uniform Bar Examination.
Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet finish dates in a fast-paced working environment
Must be self-motivated, take initiative, and have excellent organizational and time management skills
