Disaster Relief Internships The collegiate summer internship offered by Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief (MODR) brings students a unique opportunity to serve individuals and communities affected by disasters. This is a traveling internship, and students will travel from one location to another throughout the summer. The internships’ objectives are to help students develop as leaders, train in disaster relief, develop practical skills for the future, and grow spiritually. The objectives are accomplished by using disaster relief as a platform.

Summary: Interns have a critical role in maximizing City of Refuge’s ability to serve Columbia’s 8,000+ refugees! All interns provide support in day-to-day functions such as welcoming folks at the front desk, connecting refugees with basic needs and services, sorting donations and running the register in our City Boutique, providing childcare and transportation for English classes, and keeping our building running smoothly.
