mxdwn is a news site bringing “all that matters in entertainment” to its readers. In the mxdwn Television department, we strive to cultivate engaging relevant content as well as entertaining to our readers. We are currently looking for passionate writers with a strong interest in television as well as a strong voice to provide accurate, engaging, and relevant reporting. Our dedicated and self-driven reporters cover breaking stories on amazing shows that people are talking about around the world. Examples include, but are not limited to, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, Abbott Elementary, Stranger Things, Rick and Morty, and The Bear.
mxdwn Television is currently looking to add television fanatics to provide in-depth news articles for some of the most talked about television programs on air today. Successful writers will be tasked with covering certain television shows such as Loki, Rick and Morty, Dave, and many more.
In this role, Television news writers will be responsible for covering a wide variety of series and publishing on five designated publishing days during the week, completing them in a timely fashion. The role will require communication with the Television News Editor, Television Department Head, and the Editor-In-Chief to enhance your writing voice in addition to having a platform to expand exposure for your writing through the mxdwn fanbase, as well as obtaining further knowledge working with WordPress.

Have a passion for journalism, writing, and television.
Possess mastery of the English language, including grammar, flow, structure, and spelling.
Be able to work professionally with all members of the Television department.
Have access to the internet and your own personal computer.
Do note that this position is UNPAID; the benefits of joining our team include experience, exposure, and a foot in the door into the industry.
Interns are trained and supervised by members of the mxdwn staff. Our internships offer to provide academic credit.
Prior experience is not required; degrees in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, or similar fields are a plus. If selected, you will receive training on how to write and publish a standard article using our site’s content management system.
