Do you have a passion for music? Are you a fantastic writer wanting to review Hip-Hop music? If so, our team might be for you. Our music team is looking for a dedicated music journalist to review new Hip-Hop releases. We pride ourselves in being “stubbornly open-minded,” so that means you’ll be writing about a variety of music from that genre.
In this role, you would be assigned one review a week and expected to complete them in time for the next review. Typically, writers will be assigned anywhere from three to five reviews monthly.

Interns are trained and supervised by members of the mxdwn staff.
Requirements
have a passion for music
have excellent writing skills
write approx. one review (350-700 words) per week
conduct research on the band/artist you are reviewing
thoroughly engage your readers
talk about music in a sophisticated and interesting way
