MEYERS+ ENGINEERS is seeking an exceptional electrical engineer candidate to join our San Francisco office to embark on a career in the architectural engineering consulting industry. We are looking for a communicative person that is comfortable in a collaborative workspace liaising with colleagues and clients on complex building design solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture and engineering related to the design and construction of highly sustainable, innovative, high performing buildings. At MEYERS+ ENGINEERS, you will work with some of the world’s leading architects on a variety of building types including sports stadiums, museums, hotels, high-rise condo towers, university campuses, office towers, and laboratories. Your first year in the firm will include direct hands on experience working with other engineers to produce engineering drawings utilizing both Autocad and Revit design platforms. We work on projects from the design phase through construction, so you will spend a certain percentage of your time out of the office at the project site performing site surveys and interfacing with contractors to ensure the building is constructed per your design. Our goal is to ensure that you receive the best education in the architectural engineering industry in order to advance your career and become an integral contributor to our firm. You will quickly gain experience in the design of power distribution systems, panel equipment sizing, lighting circuiting & controls, Energy Code calculations, short circuit and voltage drop calculations, fire alarm system design, LEED documentation, medium voltage distribution design, solar PV design, field surveying, building assessments, and direct participation in client meetings as a representative of your company. Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a graduation date of Fall 2023 or Spring 2024, and ideally will have already attained their EIT certification.
