This is a student work-study position located on campus in the Office for Institutional Research and Assessment. The student will primarily assist with data entry, data cleaning, report generation, and other administrative tasks related to collecting and analyzing institutional data, often using software like Excel, under the supervision of OIRA Research Analyst II.
Key responsibilities for the position include:
- Entering data from various sources into spreadsheets, verifying accuracy, and cleaning up inconsistencies.
- Assisting with the creation of standard and customized reports using data analysis tools, including tables, graphs, and charts.
- Maintaining and updating institutional data within the IR database system.
- Gathering and compiling data for research projects as needed.
- Filing documents, scanning, and/or compiling data for research projects as needed.
- Gaining exposure to basic data analysis methods and software like Excel, Tableau, etc.
Skills and qualifications include:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis functions
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prefer upper classman (junior or senior)
