Reports to: Sr. Graphic Designer
Location: Kansas City, MO (Hybrid)
Status: Exempt, Full-time
Salary: Annual salary based on experience

Key Performance Indicators:
- Increase Workflow Efficiency – Implement workflow optimization strategies to reduce design project turnaround time by 10% within the year, as measured by the time taken from project initiation to final delivery.
- Website Updates – Provide quick and accurate text edits and implement basic layout changes on the website to keep website content current, relevant, and following best practices. Measured by reducing the bounce rate by 5% within the year.
- Reduce edit requests and rework by being detail-oriented and proactive. Measured by a reduction in rounds of edits by 50% within the year. Taking edit requests from 4+ per project to under 2.
- Innovative Design Solutions – Be vocal and proactive in suggesting improvements in copy, design, or functionality that increase the effectiveness of marketing materials. Measured by an increase in interest in programs tracked by interest form leads and applications for scholarships.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
As a Graphic Design – Print and Digital Production Artist at the Organization, you will be pivotal in timely updates of collateral, website, and printed materials. Assisting the other members of the design team in creating visually compelling and engaging materials to support our marketing and communications initiatives. You will be responsible for managing outside vendors as it relates to print production and digital delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and revise print documents, execute copy edits and basic design layout changes based on instruction from Designers and Marketing.
- Provide quality control of all artwork (online and print) by reviewing accuracy of color builds, typesetting, grammar, image resolution, design, etc. and preparing final print files for press.
- Update and manage the content of our Word Press with Elementor based website.
- Adapt to evolving priorities and projects, managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to use Asana to manage project details and make edits with a meticulous eye while continuing to maintain brand standards and message consistency in an evolving environment.
- Ability to use Asana to prioritize tasks, workload, and deadlines with little supervision.
- Maintain a strong understanding of basic design principles, best practices, and the Organization brand standards.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Team to brainstorm and execute unique creative design concepts that meet project goals and objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web design, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, the candidate can have 5+ years of applicable and proven experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years of production experience which includes print, digital, and web design.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required.
- Expertise knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is required.
- Experience in Word Press with Elementor highly desired.
- Experience in Mail Chimp and knowledge of basic email editing highly desired.
- Advertising or agency experience a plus.
- Video editing and/or animation experience a plus.
- Strong history and portfolio showcasing a diverse range of basic design skills, versatility, and experience.
- Proficiency in graphic design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.

Physical requirements:
