Overview:
The goal of the summer internship program is to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both Bunge and the intern. Bunge benefits by solving specific business challenges, exploring new areas, or bringing in new ideas through project, while the intern achieves real life experience of working in a corporate environment as well as gains hands-on experience of solving real business problems. The role is an opportunity for students to gain practical experience in agribusiness and food production. Interns participate in various activities, developing skills in areas like risk assessment, data analysis, audit execution, and audit reporting for both assurance and advisory projects. The intern will also participate in the function’s development program which involves formal learning, learning from others, and experiential learning.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning of audits, assessing risks and defining the scope and work programs.
- Participate in the execution of the audit projects, testing controls, and documenting results.
- Support the writing of reports, summarizing observations and suggesting solutions together with other team members.
- Ensure audits follow standards and best practices as defined in the GIA audit methodology guidelines.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Pursuit of an Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related business undergraduate degree
- Experience gained via other internships preferred
- Knowledge of internal auditing techniques and accounting principles and practices
- Efficient in planning and time management
- Ability to solve practical problems in complex scenario
- Ability to follow instruction and work independently to self-manage multiple priorities within defined timelines
- Ability to professionally articulate issues and resolve problems with a solution focused mindset
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, team management and external contact
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- Considerable skill in using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and additional skill in analytics tools desirable (e.g., Tableau)
- Skills in conducting international business including any advanced or multiple language abilities
