Program Counselors will play a crucial role in creating a safe and memorable camp experience for children of all abilities. You will spend your nights and downtime in cabins working alongside Cabin Counselors. Cabin Counselors will lead, inspire, and cheer on the campers in their cabin as they travel to different activities together in the mornings. In the afternoons, they will have the opportunity to run a variety of elective/choice activities with a new group of campers. You will spend your nights and downtime in cabins, working alongside Program Counselors. Enthusiasm, patience, and a strong sense of playfulness are key strengths for all Cabin Counselors!

Inclusion and Accommodations Counselors will support campers in finding success and personal growth by implementing behavioral strategies, accommodations, and interventions that foster an inclusive environment. They guide and assist staff in working with neurodiverse campers while also engaging in daily cabin life to promote friendship, curiosity, and support. Applicants should be pursuing or hold a degree in Special Education or a related field and have significant experience working with both typically developing and neurodiverse children.

Lead Counselors will support Counselors in creating and leading daily cabin routines and activities. We will have four Lead Counselors who will oversee either Junior Boys, Junior Girls, Senior Boys, or Senior Girls. Lead Counselors will work closely with Counselors in building positive behavior and must be enthusiastic about and have experience working with young people. Prior camp experience is needed for this position.

The High Ropes Lead at Camp Southern Ground, will take a leadership role in delivering high-adventure experiences to campers in a safe and supportive environment. These positions involve leading campers through various high ropes experiences. An ACCT Level 2 certification and previous summer camp or outdoor recreation experience is required.
